Ayesha Curry calls Paris ‘unbelievable’ after incident with newborn

The 2024 Paris Olympics were an exciting event as the United States national basketball team won the W. Cup. Ayesha Curry and her family were there when Steph Curry helped the team win gold, but the celebration was interrupted by an encounter with Paris police.

Nearly a week after Curry’s newborn was allegedly “hit on the head” by authorities as they attempted to leave the Olympic site, Sweet July The creator posted on Instagram with her newborn Caius and son Canon – all smiles. She also took the opportunity to thank AirBnb for giving her family an “incredible” stay in the City of Lights.

“A huge thank you to @airbnb for making our stay in Paris so incredible,” she captioned the photo. “We had the best time celebrating and cheering on @stephencurry30 at the @olympics. Thank you!!!”

On August 12, a video surfaced showing Ayesha Curry and her mother-in-law Sonya getting into an altercation with Paris police as they attempted to walk to their car to leave the Olympic site. In the clip, captured by a passerby, it was revealed that Ayesha and Steph Curry's newborn, Caius, was also allegedly hit on the head by a police officer.

Apparently there was a commotion when French President Emmanuel Macron left the Olympic site at the same time as the Currys, whereupon the family was stopped.

Sonya Curry can be seen berating an officer for “touching the baby” and demanding to be let into her vehicle as Ayesha stands nearby in tears. The officers can be heard explaining that no one was allowed to go into the President's area at this time and apologizing for the delay.

“It's right where all those people are on this side, we were over there,” Sonya told police about where her driver was. “They won't let us go back to where we came from. They won't let the driver come here and they won't let us go back there.”

At one point in the clip, Draymond Green also appears, asking authorities: “So even after he hit the baby in the head, there's still nothing you can do to get her out of here?”

However, the clip does not show any abuse of the baby.
