Man charged with sexual abuse of minor in East Hampton: police

EAST HAMPTON, CT — A Middletown man is accused of sexually assaulting a minor in East Hampton, police say.

Scott Predom, 61, was arrested Wednesday on a warrant related to an investigation that began in March.

“The arrest was based on the results of an investigation that revealed that Predom sexually assaulted a minor male on multiple occasions between June and November 2022 in the Town of East Hampton,” police wrote in a press release. “The incident was first reported to the department on March 21, 2024.”

Predom was charged with second-, third- and fourth-degree sexual assault, endangering a minor and first-degree public nuisance.

He was held on $100,000 bail.
