Teen rapper Baby K sentenced to prison after attack on school bus in PG County

PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY, MD – A teenage rapper known as Baby K was sentenced to 25 years in prison Friday in connection with the attempted shooting of another teenager on a school bus in Prince George's County in May 2023.

The teenager, whose real name is Kaeden Holland, was 15 years old when he and three other teenagers stormed a PGCPS school bus around 5 p.m. on May 1, 2023. Prosecutors said he tried to shoot a student, but the gun malfunctioned.

The victim suffered minor injuries in the attack. Two adults – a bus driver and a bus attendant – were on or near the bus at the time and were unharmed. The incident occurred as the bus stopped at the corner of Iverson Street and Sutler Drive in Oxon Hill to let students off, Patch previously reported.

Holland pleaded guilty in March to attempted first-degree murder and weapons charges. The deal called for a 60-year prison sentence, with all but 25 years suspended.

A judge sentenced Holland to prison Patuxent Institutiona maximum security adult prison that offers therapy and counseling programs for juvenile offenders, WTOP reported.

Holland was also sentenced to five years probation once he is released from Patuxent, according to the report.
