Prosecutor drops charges against defendant in Clarkson Street shooting

WORCESTER – Prosecutors have dropped charges against one of the four men accused in the triple shooting on Clarkson Street in April and filed charges against the others.

According to court records, all charges against Levon Atupem of Holden were dropped, while three others – Joshua Pittman, Carter Webster and Jordany Alejo – were charged in Worcester Superior Court.

The four men were charged in District Court in April after authorities said two men got out of a car carrying four people and opened fire on Clarkson Street, hitting three teenagers.

A 17-year-old boy was seriously injured – his family wrote online that he was paralyzed from the waist down – while his sister and another young girl, both 18, were each hit in the legs.
