Person dies after nighttime crash involving two vehicles in Woburn

A crash between a pickup truck and a sedan late Friday night in Woburn left one person dead and two others hospitalized. The crash occurred near the intersection of Atlantic Avenue and Commerce Way, police said. Video from the scene shows a white Chevy Silverado pickup truck with severe front-end damage off the road near a multi-story apartment building. Further down the road, a silver sedan appeared to have damage to its driver's side. Woburn police members joined Massachusetts State Police accident reconstruction teams at the scene. The police chief said one person died from injuries sustained in the crash, while two other people were hospitalized. The cause of the crash was not immediately known.

WOBURN, Mass. —

One person was killed and two others were hospitalized in an accident between a pickup truck and a sedan in Woburn late Friday evening.

The accident occurred near the intersection of Atlantic Avenue and Commerce Way, police said.

Video from the scene showed a white Chevy Silverado pickup truck with severe front-end damage off the road near a multi-story apartment building.

Further down the road, a silver sedan appeared to have damage on the driver's side.

Woburn Police Department personnel joined Massachusetts State Police accident reconstruction teams on scene.

The police chief said one person died as a result of the accident, while two others were hospitalized.

The cause of the crash was initially unknown.
