Premiere of the second season of “Accused” is postponed by one week due to the vice presidential debate

Fox has postponed the premiere of the second season of the anthology crime series “Accused” from its original date of October 1 to Tuesday, October 8. The reason for this is the recently scheduled vice presidential debate between Governor Tim Walz (D-Mn) and Senator JD Vance (R-oh), which will be moderated by CBS News.

The second season premiere will air on Oct. 8 at 8 p.m., followed by Murder in a Small Town. The second episode of Murder in a Small Town will still air on Oct. 1, but now at 8 p.m., followed by the debate, the network said Friday.

Accused, from Fox Entertainment and Sony Pictures Television, is a collection of intense, contemporary human stories of crime and punishment. Told in flashbacks from the accused's perspective, each episode is a fast-paced, provocative thriller that tackles a different crime in a different city, with a completely original cast. The series is based on Jimmy McGovern's BBC BAFTA Award-winning crime anthology of the same name.
