Caleb Williams' hand gesture towards rapper Lil Dirk goes viral and leaves fans in disbelief: “This has to be fake”

Caleb Williams is always making headlines, both on and off the field. He went viral when he put on a solid performance in his first preseason game against the Buffalo Bills, contributing to his team's stunning 33-6 victory. Previously, the highly touted No. 1 pick in the 2023 draft made headlines by trying to teach Bears veterans locker room manners. Now he's making headlines again for holding hands with a rapper.

A photo of Caleb Williams with rapper Lil Dirk is going viral. In the photo, the Bears rookie QB is seen holding hands with rapper Lil Dirk. The photo is causing a stir among fans, some of them are speculating about it, some are in disbelief, and some are making jokes about it.

“This is a fake, right?” wrote one fan in comment on the picture.

Another user, who seemed genuinely intrigued, asked: “Why is he holding his hand?”

Another user, who found the tweet neither interesting nor surprising, decided to share his observation, saying, “His hand is behind Caleb's hand. Caleb is holding something else.” He wasn't the only fan to notice something was wrong in the picture, especially in the place where the two appeared to be holding hands.

Another user didn't mince his words and said, “I'm calling out Photoshop lol.”

However, another user went to great lengths to find and share a video of their meeting, clarifying that Caleb Williams was not actually holding the rapper's hand. Rather, “it was just his mouthpiece that looked like Lil Dirk's hand.” When he posted the video, he captioned it “mouthpiece.”

Previously, Caleb Williams also made headlines and received mixed reactions from fans. This happened when Williams supported his fellow USC players and their run in the NCAA tournament postseason last season. The Heisman Trophy winner literally attracted attention through his looks. Or more specifically, his nails and lips.

Williams had painted his nails pink and also wore some pink gloss, which fans were quick to notice. Some even called him out and mocked him for his behavior. Williams was quick to hit back at critics, saying, “But I guess it's just another way of expressing yourself.” Now that he's going viral again, fans will be expecting a clarification from him shortly.
