New York Instagram model Maecee Marie Lathers blames ‘pink cocaine’ for fatal car crash in Miami

A Mercedes-driving Instagram model from New York blamed party drugs and time travel for causing a three-car crash in downtown Miami last week that killed two people, including a father.

Maecee Marie Lathers, 24, admitted to police that she was under the influence of “pink cocaine” when she ran a red light on Aug. 10, collided with a black Range Rover and then tried to flee the scene, according to WPLG.

“Pink Cocaine,” also known as “Tusi” or 2C, is a synthetic drug mix associated with a dangerous Venezuelan gang and circulating in the New York drug scene.

“She stated that she was under the influence of '2C,' a known party drug, and that she came from the future and had a crystal ball,” Mindy S. Glazer, a judge in Florida's 11th District Court, read from a police report, according to a video obtained by the news agency.

Lather's car and the Range Rover collided with a silver Suzuki sedan carrying three people on their way to work.

The 24-year-old driver of the Range Roer suffered minor injuries.

The driver of the Suzuki, identified as Abraham Ismael, had to be extricated from the car and died at Jackson Memorial Hospital, the outlet reported, citing the police report.

The rear passenger died instantly.

Ismael's wife, Juanita Hernández, was in the passenger seat and survived the accident.

Hernández was hospitalized and said she was unable to work due to her injuries. She also said her husband leaves behind a 16-year-old son.

“I am no longer able to work due to my injuries and the boy's life has been turned upside down,” the heartbroken wife wrote on GoFundMe. “His mother, who lives in Nicaragua, suffers from Parkinson's disease and is now not only grieving but also no longer has the financial support her son provided.”

Lather, whose driver's license has been suspended since January, attempted to flee the scene of the accident but was stopped by passersby who grabbed her and took her back to the scene, Local10 reported.

Police found that Lather had vomited and later admitted to being under the influence of the party drug.

Lather, who poses in provocative clothing and bikinis on her Instagram account, was given a green anti-suicide vest at her court appearance on Friday.

On her social media account, which has just 11,000 followers, she claims to be affiliated with two modeling agencies, and her bio reads “(money) on my (brain)” and “horny in real life.”

The Instagram model, originally from Fort Plain, NY, has reportedly been living in the Sunshine State since 2022.

Prosecutors described Lather as a “potential flight risk” because of the charges against her.

Lather was charged with four counts of driving without a license resulting in death or serious injury and four counts of hit-and-run resulting in death or serious injury. All of those offenses are capital felonies, according to court records obtained by The Post.

“She is an absolute danger to the community for killing or driving when she shouldn't be in a car. From what she said, she is clearly impaired,” Glazer said. “And if the citizens or witnesses nearby hadn't stopped her, she would have fled completely.”

Glazer ordered Lather held on $140,000 bail.

If the reduced bail is paid, Lather will be placed under house arrest and banned from driving.
