Man from Lyon arrested after failing to appear in court

According to the Wayne County Sheriff's Office, a Lyons man was arrested Friday morning after an investigation revealed he had missed several court dates.

Officers took 47-year-old Jason J. Barabasz of Canal Street into custody around 9 a.m. in the Town of Sodus. Barabasz is charged with fourth-degree criminal damage and second-degree harassment.

Authorities allege Barabasz repeatedly failed to appear for scheduled court dates, which led to an arrest warrant being issued. He was taken to the Wayne County Jail where he awaits arraignment.
