Nintendo has announced a demo for Emio's new detective game The Smiling Man

At the end of August, Nintendo will release Emio – The Smiling Man, a sequel to the 35-year-old (!) Famicom game Detective Club.

The company said that everyone could familiarize themselves with the novelty before its release.

We know that

The demo of Emio – The Smiling Man: Famicom Detective Club will be released in a few days and the Japanese have not made it easy for themselves.

The developers have divided the demo into three parts, which are due to be released in a few days. The first chapter will be available on August 20th from 3:00 a.m. (CEST), the other two will be released simultaneously on August 23rd and 28th.

Please note!!! When you install the first chapter, the next two will be downloaded automatically and the progress made in the trial version can be carried over to the full game.

As a reminder, the plot of Emio – The Smiling Man: Famicom Detective Club is based on a Japanese urban legend. It tells of a mysterious man who appeared next to crying girls, killed them, and left a paper bag with a drawn smile on his head.

Players take on the role of a deputy private detective who helps the police solve the spooky case.

When can we expect it

Emio – The Smiling Man: Famicom Detective Club will be released on August 29th only on Nintendo Switch.
