YoungBoy Never Broke Again is expected to plead guilty in his federal weapons case in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

NBA YoungBoy pleads guilty in gun trial

According to court documents, the XXLNBA YoungBoy will plead guilty in his federal weapons case, which he was charged with in 2020 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. In the document, YB states that he intends to plead guilty to the charge of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and move the case to Utah for further legal proceedings.

Earlier this week, defense attorney Drew Findling filed all the necessary legal documents on behalf of the controversial rapper, whose real name is Kentrell Gaulden. Moving the gun trial to Utah would be a convenient choice for YoungBoy and his legal team, as he is facing multiple criminal charges in both Cache County and Weber County in Utah.

The gun case in the NBA YoungBoy case stems from his arrest in September 2020, where he and several other men were accused of carrying firearms while filming a music video in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Police discovered several firearms at the scene and alleged that YB was in possession of a 9mm pistol.

In March 2021, NBA YoungBoy was charged in U.S. District Court with possession of firearms by a convicted felon and possession of a firearm not registered with the National Firearms Registration and Transfer Record. The latter charge was dismissed.

Rhymer, 24, is considered a felon because of a shooting in 2016 and is not allowed to own weapons.

NBA YoungBoy still in jail after being arrested for prescription fraud

On April 16, 2024, NBA YoungBoy was arrested in connection with an alleged drug fraud ring in Utah. YB faces a variety of charges, including identity theft, forgery, obtaining or attempting to obtain drug prescriptions, possession of other controlled substances, possession of a dangerous weapon by a restricted person, and a pattern of unlawful activity.

According to police, YB allegedly posed as a doctor by contacting pharmacies and requesting prescriptions under the real names and dates of birth of unsuspecting victims. His accomplices then allegedly picked up the prescribed medication from neighboring pharmacies.

To avoid having his gun case sent back to Louisiana, YoungBoy must maintain his guilty plea after the federal case is transferred to Utah. YoungBoy has a court hearing in Weber County, Utah, scheduled for August 29 and another court date in Cache County, Utah, scheduled for September 23.

If convicted of prescription fraud, NBA YoungBoy faces fines, supervised house arrest and ten years in prison.
