Dallas Mavericks schedule for 2024-25 season released

The NBA has officially released the schedule of all teams for the 2024-25 season. The Dallas Mavericks will play several high-class games throughout the year.

The season kicks off on Thursday, October 22, and there will be two games: the New York Knicks will face the Boston Celtics and the Minnesota Timberwolves will travel to Los Angeles to play the Lakers.

Dallas will begin its season shortly thereafter with a home game two days later, on October 24, against Victor Wembanyama and the San Antonio Spurs.

The Mavericks announced their regular season schedule to fans in a social media post in which center Dereck Lively II shared his favorite matchups of the season. In addition, several posts included a calendar list of games.

Dallas will be looking to get off to a good start in a season that will be a long home stretch. The Mavericks will play eight of their first 10 games of the year at home.

After this stretch at the American Airlines Center, the Mavericks begin a difficult part of the year, as the team will play 11 of its next 15 games on the road.

The team's notable games include a rematch of the NBA Finals on January 25 and February 6, where the Mavericks will look to avenge their losses during the final playoff series of the 2023–24 season.

Dallas will also be one of the teams selected by the NBA to play on Christmas Day, with the Mavericks set to face the Minnesota Timberwolves in a rematch of the Western Conference finals.

Dallas enters the season with high expectations after one of the most successful years in franchise history. The team reached the NBA Finals, but lost to the Boston Celtics in five games.

The Mavericks opted for a more aggressive free agent strategy and signed forward Naji Marshall as well as guards Klay Thompson and Quentin Grimes. The Dallas ExpressEvery team member is expected to play an important role in the upcoming season.

Strong seasons from new additions and younger players stepping into more important roles could help the Mavericks make another deep postseason run next season.
