Man arrested in Mount Dora in connection with August 2023 shooting

Mount Dora Police announced the arrest of a man wanted on multiple counts of attempted homicide following an August 2023 shooting. According to Mount Dora Police, 19-year-old JaQuan Turner was arrested in Mount Dora by members of the United States Marshals Warrants Task Force. Turner had a warrant out for his arrest for two counts of attempted homicide with a firearm, shooting at an occupied vehicle and possession of a weapon by a felon. He was booked into the Lake County Jail, where his bail was set at $80,000.
