Brookfield man injured in motorcycle crash west of Trenton

A Brookfield, Missouri man suffered moderate injuries in a motorcycle crash on August 17, 2024. The accident occurred around 11:25 a.m. on NW 5th Street, 1.5 miles west of Trenton in Grundy County.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, 34-year-old Tyrel W. Treat was riding a 2019 Honda 450 motorcycle westbound on NW 5th Street when he lost control on the gravel road. The motorcycle overturned onto its left side and skidded to a stop facing west.

Treat, who was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash, suffered moderate injuries. He was transported by Grundy County EMS to Wright Memorial Hospital for treatment. The motorcycle sustained minor damage and was towed from the scene by a private vehicle.

The Grundy County Sheriff's Department responded to the scene of the accident.
