HUDSON – Three juveniles were arrested after allegedly driving a car into a Hudson store and stealing merchandise.

On August 27 at 3:30 a.m., Hudson Police responded to a burglary alarm at DAB Smoke Shop, 234 Washington St.

Police reported that the front entrance of the store had been smashed upon arrival, and their investigation revealed that a vehicle was believed to have driven into the entrance. The suspects fled. Police notified surrounding departments to be on the lookout for a vehicle with damage throughout.

An officer from the Marlborough Police Department reported seeing a vehicle with significant damage and stopped it along with a Massachusetts State Police patrol officer.

Hudson police arrested a 15-year-old boy from Boston, a 16-year-old boy from Quincy and a 17-year-old boy from Danvers. Two of the three were held on bail and the third was released to his guardians.

Police said they had found goods suspected to have been stolen from the DAB Smoke Shop.

“This is an example of strong policing and is intended to send the message that break-ins and thefts will not be tolerated at our local businesses,” said Hudson Police Chief Richard DiPersio. “We have excellent relationships with our neighboring agencies and that teamwork was clearly on display early Saturday morning, resulting in the arrest of three juveniles in this brazen and brazen crime.”

The three suspects will be arraigned in Framingham Juvenile Court.
