Even Rome Odunze was impressed after fellow rookie Caleb Williams hit him with an Absolute Dime during the preseason game against the Cincinnati Bengals on Saturday.

“It's really surreal, honestly,” Odunze told reporters after the game. “I just watched it again. He throws off one leg and puts it on my outside shoulder. It's like… oh, it's magical what he does back there in the backfield. He's special.”

Everyone else who saw the throw agreed with the general opinion, including Bears wideout DJ Moore.

“Elite,” he told reporters of Williams' pocket awareness. “Elite. Have you seen him out there making people look ridiculous? Yes, he's elite.”

Williams, meanwhile, said the throw was inspired by plays Aaron Rodgers has made over the years.

“That's something I've been working on in practice,” he told reporters. “When I watch Aaron Rodgers – I know he's a Green Bay guy … he can do incredible things.”

Chicago fans may not be thrilled that Williams is bringing back memories of Rodgers, a longtime tormentor of the Bears, but if he continues to make shots like the one he made on Saturday, he will be forgiven.
