NYPD asks public for help in identifying suspect in violent touching incident


NEW YORK CITY – The New York City Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in locating and identifying a suspect involved in an incident of forcible touching reported in the 46th Precinct. The incident occurred early on the morning of Thursday, August 15, 2024, at approximately 1:00 a.m.

According to the police report, the incident occurred near the intersection of Grand Avenue and West 174th Street. The suspect allegedly approached a 25-year-old woman, touched her buttocks, and then exposed himself before fleeing the scene on foot in an unspecified direction. The victim did not suffer any physical injuries during the encounter.

The NYPD has not provided a detailed description of the suspect at this time, but is asking anyone with information about this incident to come forward and assist with the ongoing investigation.

  • Maryland man charged with wire fraud in West Virginia

    MARTINBURG, WV – Duane Dixon Jr., 34, of Towson, Maryland, is charged with wire fraud following his recent indictment by a grand jury. Dixon is charged with one count of conspiracy to commit wire fraud and three counts of wire fraud in connection with a real estate fraud scheme.

    The indictment describes a scheme in which a fraudster posing as a landowner falsely offered a property in Hampshire County for sale. Dixon is alleged to have assisted the fraudster in attempting to defraud a law firm of the proceeds of this fraudulent transaction by wiring the funds into a bank account he managed.

    If convicted, Dixon faces up to 20 years in prison for each count. The sentence will be determined by a federal district judge, who will take into account, among other things, the U.S. sentencing guidelines.

    The case is being prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney Jarod Douglas and investigated by the FBI.

  • NYPD seeks information on suspect in Queens bus robbery

    NEW YORK CITY – The New York Police Department is asking for the public’s help in identifying and locating a suspect involved in a robbery in the 105th Precinct. The incident occurred on Saturday, August 3, 2024, at approximately 7:35 p.m.

    The attack followed a verbal altercation on an MTA Q5 bus traveling westbound on Merrick Boulevard near 232nd Street in Queens. After both the victim, a 52-year-old man, and the attacker exited the bus at 231st Street, the argument escalated into a physical altercation. During the altercation, the suspect allegedly struck the victim in the head with an unknown object. After the attack, the attacker fled southbound on 231st Street.

    Emergency medical services took the victim to Jamaica Medical Center, where he was in stable condition. The suspect is described as a black man. Authorities are asking anyone with information about this incident or the identity of the suspect to come forward to assist with the investigation.
