THE LAST ATTACK cinema release announced for November

The Attack on Titan The anime series ended in November 2023, ending an impressive 10-year run that consisted of 94 episodes in four seasons. Soon, however, fans will be able to relive the series' thrilling ending thanks to a new movie. Attack on Titan: The Final Assault.

As announced on social media, Attack on Titan, final season – THE LAST CHAPTERS Anime parts will be collected and re-released as an anime film, set to hit theaters across Japan later this year. A teaser for the compilation film was released along with a visual confirming the film's release in Japan on November 8. There is no information yet on whether or not it will be released in North America.

Attack on Titan: The Final Assault is not just a compilation film. It will feature improved images and editing compared to the original version, with a running time of 145 minutes and 5.1 channel surround sound.

Series director Yuichiro Hayashi will once again direct the film. The final attackHayashi said:

“Originally I drew the storyboards [for THE FINAL CHAPTERS] with the idea that it will be seen as one film. To have the opportunity for everyone to see it in the best possible environment, the cinema, is a dream come true for me.”

Both parts of Attack on Titan, final season – THE LAST CHAPTERS are already available on Crunchyroll alongside the rest of the popular anime series. For those who don't know the anime, the synopsis is:

Based on the manga series of the same name by Hajime Isayama. Attack on Titan is a dark fantasy anime produced by Wit Studio (seasons 1–3) and MAPPA (season 4). The series has received numerous awards as well as universal acclaim from critics. Many consider it to be one of the best anime series of all time, praising it for its storytelling, animation, action sequences, dubbing, and overall themes.
