‘Unlawful break-in’: Air India responds to alleged attack on crew member in London hotel

An Air India flight attendant was reportedly attacked in her hotel room in London, raising serious concerns about the safety of flight crew abroad.

Air India confirmed the incident and described it as an “unlawful intrusion” into the hotel of a major international chain.

The airline expressed its “deep dismay” at the incident and stressed that the safety and well-being of crew and employees was its highest priority.

“Air India places the utmost importance on the safety and well-being of our crew and employees. We are deeply saddened by the unlawful break-in at a hotel belonging to a major international chain, which affected one of our crew members. We are providing all possible support, including professional counselling, to our colleague and his team. Air India is also working with the local police to pursue the matter to the fullest extent permitted by law and with the hotel management to ensure that such incidents do not recur. We request that the privacy of those affected be respected,” the airline said in a statement.
