OK, this viral AI livestream software is really scary

Remember when AI image generation seemed like a silly new trend? It wasn't that long ago that even the images produced by the best AI image generators were so full of artifacts that there was little chance they could fool anyone (apart from judges at art competitions). AI videos were even less usable.

But this week, a piece of software called Deep Live Cam has been trending on Github, and it could be the advancement in deepfake technology that some have feared. It appears to allow anyone to instantly turn a single image into a deepfake livestream, allowing you to wear any person's face and act out it live over the internet.
