Investigation underway after nighttime shooting outside Covington bar

Police in Northern Kentucky are investigating an overnight shooting near a Covington bar. It occurred outside Legends Bar & Grill on Decoursey Ave. According to Kenton County dispatch, officers were called to the scene around 1:30 a.m. for a report of someone suffering from a gunshot wound. It's not clear at this time how many people were injured or if anyone is in custody. WLWT's cameras spotted several officers both inside and outside the bar, which was cordoned off with police tape. Covington police are leading the investigation. We're working to find out more.

COVINGTON, Ky. —

Police in northern Kentucky are investigating an overnight shooting near a bar in Covington.

It happened in front of Legends Bar & Grill on Decoursey Ave.

According to Kenton County dispatch, officers were called to the scene around 1:30 a.m. for a report of someone suffering from a gunshot wound.

It is currently unclear how many people were injured and whether anyone is in custody.

WLWT's cameras showed several officers both inside and outside the bar, which was cordoned off with crime scene tape.
