Ajay Devgn recently announced the start of shooting for Son of Sardaar 2. Meanwhile, reports have surfaced that Vijay Raaz, who was slated to play a major role, has been replaced by Sanjay MishraThe film’s co-producer, Kumar Mangat Pathakconfirmed the news to Pinkvilla and stated that Raaz's behaviour on the sets was the reason for his dismissal. Pathak also highlighted a worrying incident where Raaz's spot boy allegedly sexually abused Hotel employee while under the influence.
Pathak attributed Raaz's dismissal to his demands for bigger rooms, a premium van and the inflated rates of his staff, including a spot boy who was reportedly paid Rs 20,000 per night, a higher rate than most of the lead actors. Pathak explained that everyone involved in the shoot in the UK was given standard rooms, but Raaz insisted on premium suites and his demands kept increasing.

Fiery interview with Vijay Raaz; criticizes producers of “Son of Sardar 2” | Watch video

According to Pathak, Raaz was uncooperative when they tried to sort out the situation and even demanded two cars for a three-member team. When the executive producer refused, Raaz reportedly reacted rudely, leading to the decision to remove him from the film.
Vijay Raaz, on the other hand, gave a different statement and stated that he was removed for not greeting Ajay Devgn when he arrived on the set. Raaz said that he arrived before the trial and noticed Ajay Devgn standing about 25 feet away but did not greet him as Devgn seemed busy. Soon after, Pathak informed Raaz that he was removed from the film. Raaz stressed that his only mistake was not greeting Ajay Devgn and he was fired within 30 minutes of his arrival on the set.

Amid the debate over Vijay Raaz's portrayal of a trans woman in 'Gangubai Kathiawadi', a fan says, “One of the best actors but he is yet to get the name he deserves.”

In response to the sexual abuse Despite the allegations, Raaz tried to distance himself from the actions of his staff. “These are two different stories and there are at least 10 hours between the two incidents. I was removed from the film at 2 pm on August 4 and the incident at the hotel happened at 11 pm that evening. Don't try to mix the two things. I have nothing to do with it but I don't encourage such behavior. I am no longer working with the spot boy,” Raaz clarified.

Responding to Raaz's claims, Pathak dismissed the notion that Ajay Devgn was involved in the decision and stated that Devgn is not the type to expect greetings from others and that he is respectful to everyone on the set. Pathak stressed that Raaz's dismissal was due to his behaviour and not because he did not greet Ajay Devgn. He also mentioned that the decision to dismiss Raaz resulted in a loss of approximately two crore to the production, which highlights the severity of the problems they were facing.
Regarding Raaz's complaints about accommodation, Pathak mentioned that all the actors, including himself, were accommodated in the same category of rooms, which were quite comfortable. He added that the decision to replace Raaz was necessary to maintain a positive work environment on the sets.
