The developer behind timeless mobile icon Fruit Ninja just released a “Lovecraftian Roguelike” for $7 and now feels “so done”

The designer of Fruit Ninja and Jetpack Joyride has just released his first new game as a solo developer, and it's perhaps the last thing you'd expect from the maestro of casual games.

Since leaving the screen swipers behind, developer Luke Muscat has been working tirelessly on Feed the Deep, a spooky “Lovecraftian roguelike” that sends you into the pitch-black depths of the ocean and procedurally generated underwater caves to feed the eldritch horrors lurking down there—all while trying not to become aquatic Cthulhu fodder yourself.
