The new color of the iPhone 16 Pro could be called “Desert Titanium”

A new image shared on social media appears to show the camera lens rings of the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max models, confirming the previously leaked colors. The leak also includes details on the new bronze color.

iPhone 16 Pro Colors

The image comes from Majin Bu on X, an account with a good track record when it comes to Apple leaks. He describes the new color as “Desert Titanium” and says that the color is “kind of a dark gold.” He also compares it to the iPhone 14 Pro's Deep Purple color and states that the color will be “relatively discreet and deep.”

The new iPhone 16 Pro color, Desert Titanium, will replace Blue Titanium from the iPhone 15 Pro lineup and will be joined by White Titanium, Black Titanium, and Natural Titanium. It looks like this year's Black Titanium will be much darker, and Natural Titanium will have more of a gray finish.

A few months ago, leaks suggested that Apple would switch back to a polished finish on the iPhone 16 Pro, similar to the stainless steel finishes on the iPhone X through iPhone 14 Pro. These leaks about the camera lens ring seem to confirm this.

Previous reports said that the iPhone 16 Pro would be more likely to come in “rose gold.” However, this is now the second leak that shows more of a bronze color, so those initial reports appear to be false.

Packing

Personally, I'm a little disappointed that there's no rose gold, although the idea of a bronze-like “Desert Titanium” color isn't too bad. I'm not a huge fan of the leaked images from last week, but hopefully it looks better when Apple reveals it next month.
