Louisiana sheriff arrests two people on drug charges

Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff's Office arrests two people following drug investigation

HAVE A NICE SUNDAY. AND BACK TO YOU. I'M LOOKING FORWARD TO THE SEASON. BUT ANY SPORT IN THIS HEAT DOESN'T SOUND LIKE FUN AT ALL. I DON'T KNOW HOW THE HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL PLAYERS DO IT WHEN THEY PRACTICE OUTSIDE. YOU KNOW, 2 OR 3 IN THE AFTERNOON AFTER SCHOOL. IT'S JUST RIDICULOUS. WHEN THE SUN IS AT ITS HIGHEST. YES. UNFORTUNATELY FOR THEM, IT'S GOING TO BE HOT TODAY. LUCKY, NO HIGH SCHOOLERS WILL BE PRACTICE TODAY, I THINK. AT LEAST, BECAUSE WE HAVE AN EXCESSIVE HEAT WARNING. YES, IT WAS HOT YESTERDAY. IT'S GOING TO BE EVEN HOTTER TODAY. It might feel like it's 49 degrees this afternoon. This heat warning is officially in effect from ten to seven. You know, if you want to do something this afternoon and stay cool while doing it, something that involves music and supporting young people, we'll tell you about it in about seven minutes on this show, but it's hot everywhere. Our temperatures are rising very, very quickly. 88 at the lake. 88 on Grand Isle. 88 our current temperature in Galliano. We'll be at 90 degrees very quickly today. AND WE'RE NOT GOING TO STOP THERE. WE'LL HAVE OVER 35 GRAMMES, MAYBE EVEN CLOSE TO 38 GRAMMES. THAT'S WHY WE HAVE THIS HEAT WARNING. 85 GRAMMES THE CURRENT TEMPERATURE AT LOUIS ARMSTRONG INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT. LIGHT WIND. DEW POINT IS 77 GRAMMES IN THE EYE. BUT THAT DEW POINT IS GOING TO DROP BY NEXT WEEK. TUESDAY MORNING THEY'RE GOING TO GO OUT AND SAY, YES, IT FEELS A LITTLE MORE COMFORTABLE. THERE'S HIGH PRESSURE HERE IN THE GULF OF MEXICO. THAT'S WHAT'S GOING TO DETERMINE OUR WEATHER IN THE SHORT TERM. BUT HERE COMES THE COLD FRONT THAT'S GOING TO PASS THROUGH LATE TOMORROW. IT'S GOING TO REMAIN STATIONARY HERE IN THE GULF OF MEXICO AND IT MAY COME BACK AS A WARM FRONT, STATIONARY FRONT, BY THURSDAY, FRIDAY. IT'S BRINGING US THE CHANCE OF RAIN TOMORROW AFTERNOON. THEN THERE COULD BE A FEW MORE RAINS ON THURSDAY AND FRIDAY WHEN THE FRONT COMES BACK, BUT WE'RE LOOKING FORWARD TO TUESDAY AND WEDNESDAY WHEN THE HUMIDITY IN THE TROPICS WILL BE MUCH LOWER AND IT'S CALM IN THE GULF OF MEXICO. THERE'S NOTHING IN THE CARIBBEAN THAT WE'RE WATCHING FOR A TROPICAL WAVE THAT LOOKS PRETTY HEALTHY BUT REALLY DOESN'T HAVE A BIG CHANCE. WE DON'T THINK ANYTHING WILL DEVELOP FROM IT IN THE NEXT 48 HOURS. AND HERE'S A NEW WARNING ON ERNESTO, STILL A TROPICAL STORM BUT A LITTLE STRONGER THAN THE LAST WARNING WITH WINDS OF 70 MPH, LIKELY TO BE A CATEGORY 1 HURRICANE AGAIN. THEN IT WILL MOVE TO THE NORTHEAST. OBVIOUSLY NO REASON FOR US. THERE HAS BEEN A LOT OF DRY AIR IN THE ATLANTIC OCEAN THE LAST FEW DAYS. MORE DRY AIR COMING IN FROM THE COAST OF AFRICA OVER THE NEXT TWO DAYS, AND EVEN MORE DRY AIR COULD COME BY THE END OF THE WEEK AND INTO THE WEEKEND. WE WOULD LOVE TO REJOICE ABOUT DRY AIR THIS TIME OF YEAR. THAT'S ONE OF THE REASONS I THINK THERE'S ABSOLUTELY NO DEVELOPMENT BEHIND RENESTO. HERE'S THE TROPICAL WAVE I SHOWED YOU. LET'S LOOK AT IT. ACCORDING TO THE COMPUTER MODELS, IT'S NOT MUCH AT ALL FOR THE NEXT 72 HOURS. THAT'S OUR LONG-RANGE FORECAST. IT TAKES YOU THROUGHOUT THE WEEKEND AND INTO THE BEGINNING OF NEXT WEEK. BY TUESDAY THERE MAY BE ONE OR TWO TROPICAL WAVES THAT THE HURRICANE CENTER WILL BE WATCHING, BUT RIGHT NOW IT LOOKS LIKE THE TROPICS WILL BE CALM FOR THE NEXT SEVEN DAYS. TODAY. NOON, MID-90S. ALREADY AT 3:00 AM. CLOSE TO 100. NOT MUCH RAIN AT ALL. CHANCE OF RAIN IS 10% TODAY. IT WILL STILL BE HOT AROUND NOON, BUT COLD FRONT COMES IN TOMORROW. OVERNIGHT WE COULD GET A FEW PASSING RAINS, EVEN AN ISOLATED THUNDERSTORM, BUT CHANCE OF RAIN IS GREATER. HERE WE ARE AROUND NOON. COLD FRONT GETTING READY TO MOVE THROUGH. ABOUT A 40% CHANCE OF SOME RAIN, MAYBE A SOME THUNDERSTORM, BUT THEN THE COOLER AIR WILL MOVE THROUGH AND YOU'LL NOTICE IT HERE TUESDAY MORNING WITH LOW 25C AND LOWER HUMIDITY TO LOW 25C ON THE NORTH COAST, MID 25C. EXCESSIVE HEAT WARNING EVERYWHERE ELSE TONIGHT. SOME RAIN IS POSSIBLE BUT THE CHANCE OF RAIN IS ONLY 1010%. AGAIN OVERNIGHT WE COULD GET 1 OR 2 RAINS, MAYBE EVEN A ONE-TIME THUNDERSTORM, BUT THE BETTER CHANCE OF RAIN IS TOMORROW AFTERNOON WITH THE COLD FRONT. Clouds are increasing. Scattered rain, thunderstorms. Just take the umbrella with you when you leave the house Monday morning because you might need it in the afternoon and then on Tuesday and Wednesday when it's less humid. And those temperatures are actually going down a bit more by the end of the week. They're approaching seasonal values. Average values for this time of year
