Man killed in Russian airstrike on Bilopillia, child among the injured

The Russian army dropped a guided aerial bomb on Bilopillia in the Sumy region, killing one man and injuring his 11-year-old daughter and two other people.

This is reported by Ukrinform, referring to the Facebook page of the Prosecutor General’s Office.

Under the procedural leadership of the Prosecutor's Office of the Sumy Region, an investigation was initiated into violation of the laws and customs of war in connection with premeditated murder (Part 2 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

According to the investigation, on August 18, at about 16:00, the enemy dropped a guided aerial bomb on the civilian infrastructure of Bilopilja in the Sumy district.

The ammunition hit the house of local residents. The 33-year-old owner was killed, his 11-year-old daughter was seriously injured, a 55-year-old woman and a 63-year-old man were also injured. At least five private houses were damaged.

The public prosecutor's office, in cooperation with other law enforcement agencies, is documenting the consequences of the attack.
