Ryan Reynolds recently spoke openly about a heartfelt letter he wrote to his father before his death.

As fans know, Deadpool and Wolverine Star had previously said that his father was “never an easy person to be around.”

However, according to People Magazine, the acting star recently admitted that he wrote him a message to express his true feelings.

The father of four began the emotional discussion by saying, “I probably sent my father a letter about five months before he died and I am very grateful for that.”

He further recalled, “The letter was basically a list of all the amazing things he ever did. Every time he showed up or every time he caught a ball with me outside after baseball practice.”

“Every time, he was just there. And if the man couldn't express his emotions dynamically, then a lot of people can't either,” Blake Lively's husband also explained.

“The guy was born in the '40s. That's OK. So I'm super grateful that I sent that letter. I know it meant the world to him, and it went back from my earliest memories to the present, or as close to the present as possible,” he continued.

“So I found that closure, but I wasn't with him when he died and I wish I had been,” Ryan explained.
