Motorcycle accident in East Bethel leaves one dead and one injured

EAST BETHEL, Minn. (FOX 9) – Authorities are investigating a motorcycle accident in which a man died and a woman suffered minor injuries.

What we know

The Anoka County Sheriff's Office said its officers were called to a reported motorcycle crash in the 4500 block of Fawn Lake Drive Northeast in East Bethel just before 3:30 p.m. Saturday.

Investigators believe a woman was driving an SUV eastbound on Fawn Lake Drive Northeast when she attempted to turn left into a driveway.

The man on the motorcycle was initially behind the SUV and then crossed into the oncoming lane as the SUV began to turn. According to the sheriff's office report, the motorcycle then struck the driver's side door of the SUV.

According to authorities, the man was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident and the woman suffered minor injuries.
