Cyclist hospitalized after accident in San Jose, police say – NBC Bay Area

A cyclist was seriously injured in an accident in San Jose on Sunday morning, police said.

The incident occurred shortly after 9 a.m. in the 700 block of South Jackson Avenue.

According to San Jose police, a bicyclist was taken to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries. Police added that the vehicle involved in the crash is still at the scene.

Currently, the northbound and southbound lanes of South Jackson Avenue are closed between Bambi Lane and Cinderella Lane. Police are asking the public to avoid the area and use alternate routes.
