33-year-old seriously injured after motorcycle accident

DEFIANCE, Ohio – A 33-year-old Defiance man was seriously injured in a motorcycle crash in Defiance County Saturday evening.

According to Defiance Police, Logan Bartley was traveling on West High Street near Union Street at about 9:22 a.m. when the accident occurred.

According to the police report, Bartley lost control of his motorcycle and was ejected while riding across railroad tracks.

According to police, he was not wearing a helmet at the time of the accident and suffered serious injuries.

Bartley had to be flown to the hospital in Toledo.

Police believe alcohol played a role in the accident; investigations are ongoing.
