Criminals escape: Four criminals escape from Arunachal prison |

Itanagar: Four criminals escaped from a Jail In Namsai District from Arunachal Pradesh in the early hours of Sunday morning.
SP (Namsai) Sange Thinley said, “They escaped from the jail around 12.30 am after breaking the ventilation grate.” They were identified as Mineswar Dihingia (37), Gopal Munda (23), Arjun Kandha (27) and Robin Surin (45).
SDPO (Namsai) J Molo said Dihingia was an NSCN (U) militant and was caught from Mahadevpur in the district in 2021. Charges have been filed against him under Sections 392/448 of the Indian Penal Code.
Munda was arrested under Section 376 of the Penal Code (rape) read with Section 6 of the Pocso Act, while Kandha was arrested under Section 363 of the Penal Code (kidnapping).
Surin was arrested under sections 302 (murder) and 201 (disappearance of evidence) of the Penal Code. Police have launched a manhunt to track down and catch the fugitives. The investigation is ongoing.
