Two people arrested for drug possession during traffic control in Holmen | Crime

HOLMEN, Wis. (WKBT) – Two people were arrested in Holmen on Saturday after officers found illegal substances during a traffic stop.

According to a Facebook post, officers with the Holmen Police Department conducted a traffic stop near Holmen Dr. and Hale Dr. around 9 p.m.

During the search, officers found several substances, including methamphetamine, cocaine and suspected heroin. Brian Johnston of La Crosse and Kaylee Berg of Holmen were subsequently arrested and taken to the La Crosse County Jail.

Berg was arrested for willful possession of methamphetamine, willful possession of cocaine, possession of narcotics, evading bail, and probation violation.

According to Holmen PD, Berg was currently out on $1,000 bail for methamphetamine possession as a repeat offender out of Monroe County. She was also on probation for a prior offense of second-degree recklessly endangering safety and burglary under the supervision of the Wisconsin Department of Corrections (DOC).

Johnston was on probation for previous offenses and was also under DOC supervision. He was arrested for possession of methamphetamine and probation violation.
