Lynn man convicted of involvement in large-scale drug trafficking organization

BOSTON – Christopher Tejeda, 23, of Lynn, was sentenced Friday in U.S. District Court for his involvement in a North Shore-based drug trafficking organization, according to a U.S. Department of Justice news release.

Tejeda was sentenced to one year and one day in prison, followed by three years of probation, with the first year to be served under house arrest, the press release said.

According to the press release, Tejeda pleaded guilty in February 2024 to conspiracy to distribute and possession with intent to distribute controlled substances.

In 2022, 23 people were arrested and charged with conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute and distribute controlled substances after more than 74,000 counterfeit prescription pills containing narcotics were seized by state police, according to a previous article by The article.

The drug trafficking organization distributed, among other things, counterfeit oxycodone pills containing fentanyl and counterfeit Adderall pills containing methamphetamine to people in the Lynn area, the press release said.

On behalf of the organization, Tejada picked up, transported and delivered controlled substances to individuals. In addition, he collected and delivered the proceeds from drug sales, the press release states.
