Penn Badgley ends last day on “You” with viral trend

As the “very low key, very mindful” trend goes viral, Penn Badgley chooses this as a farewell to his work on his show You after the series ends with the upcoming fifth season.

“See how I show up to work? Very reserved, very attentive,” the 37-year-old mimicked the trend as he wrapped filming on the dark comedy-drama.

“I don't really do much when I'm at work. I'm very mindful,” he said, adding, “Playing a romantic icon for five seasons makes me very humble and very mindful.”

“See my shirt? It shows the shoulders, not the rocks,” the Baltimore native concluded, copying the style of content creator Jools Lebron, who popularized the trend.

According to previous reports, the fifth season would be the last of YouExecutive producers Greg Berlanti and Sarah Schechter said in March that they “always envisioned it as a five-season journey.”

“As I step away from the day-to-day showrunner role to focus on new projects, I am eternally grateful to co-creator and all-around genius Greg Berlanti, Caroline Kepnes, my friends at Berlanti Productions and Alloy Entertainment, and our loyal partners at Warner Bros and Netflix,” said Sera Gamble, who is stepping down from the showrunner position.
