Maddux Madsen beats former five-star recruit Malachi Nelson to become starting quarterback at Boise State

Maddux Madsena return Boise State Quarterback, has defeated a high-profile transfer and former five-star recruit from USC Malachi Nelson for the team's starting spot. Boise is ready to go with Madsen as starting quarterback, a source says 247Sport And CBS Sports.

Madsen had been in competition with Nelson, who had Transfer portal 17 December and committed to Boise State January 6th.

The Broncos’ 2024 season begins on August 31 at South Georgia.

Madsen, a three-star recruit from American Fork (Utah) High, was the No. 110 recruit in the class of 2022 quarterback and No. 39 Players in Utah.

Nelson, on the other hand, was not drafted as a freshman at USC in 2023. The 6'3″ and 195-pound player was the No. 102 pick in the 2024 cycle. Total transmission and No. 15 quarterback.
