Two people were hospitalized after a multi-vehicle crash involving a Los Angeles Police Department officer in Willowbrook on Sunday.

According to Los Angeles police, the accident occurred around 6:10 p.m. near the intersection of South Central Avenue and Imperial Highway.

The cause of the accident is still unclear, but police have confirmed that an officer was involved in the incident. It has not been disclosed whether there were any injuries.

One victim, a woman in her twenties, was conscious but complaining of chest pains and was taken to hospital. Another ambulance took a man in his thirties to hospital with a leg injury sustained in the accident.

SkyCal flew over the accident scene, where several damaged cars were visible in the middle of the intersection. The airbags in the LAPD patrol car were deployed.
