Punjab Jail Warder Recruitment 2024, PSSSB Vacancy Notification Published, Apply Online

The Subordinate Services Selection Board, Punjab (PSSSB), has announced the recruitment of Jail Warden and Head Nurse posts in the State Police Department. A total of 179 posts are available out of which 175 are for Jail Warden and 4 are for Head Nurse. This recruitment provides a great opportunity to the candidates who wish to join the Punjab State Police Department.

Authorization details

Training

Applicants for the positions of Prison Warden or Matron must have passed the 10+2 examination or an equivalent examination from a recognized examination board. In addition, applicants must meet the physical requirements of the PSSSB.

Age limit

The age limit for candidates applying for these posts is 18 to 27 years as of January 1, 2025. As per government norms, age concession will be applicable for reserved categories.

Registration fee details

The application fee for the recruitment of prison guards and matrons at the PSSSB is:

• General Category: ₹1000/-
• SC/BC/EWS: ₹250/-
• Ex-servicemen and dependents: ₹200/-
• Physically Disabled: ₹500/-

Selection procedure

The selection process for the recruitment of prison guards and matrons at the PSSSB includes the following steps:

1. Written exam
2. Physical Measurement Test (PMT)
3. Physical performance test (PET)
