Gas prices in Georgia fall slightly compared to last week – WSB-TV Channel 2

ATLANTA — Gasoline prices in Georgia have fallen on average over the past week, according to AAA data.

On average, Georgia residents pay $3.22 per gallon of gasoline, which is one cent less than a week ago, but also 41 cents more than a year ago.

The most expensive markets in Georgia are Savannah ($3.31), Hinesville-Fort Stewart ($3.27), and Atlanta ($3.25), while the cheapest markets in Georgia are Augusta-Aiken ($3.10), Dalton ($3.09), and Catoosa-Dade-Walker ($3.03).

The national average price of gas has also fallen in the last week.

“Last week's slight increase in crude oil prices offset the earlier decline in gasoline prices and dampened hopes for cheaper fuel this week,” said AAA spokeswoman Montrae Waiters.
