1 dead, 2 in hospital after second triple shooting in 2 days in Dayton – WHIO TV 7 and WHIO Radio

DAYTON – Officials continue to investigate two triple shootings this weekend in Dayton.

We look at what happens next and how neighbors feel about this rise in violent crime this morning on News Center 7 Daybreak.

As reported Sunday in the News Center at 11Police and paramedics in Dayton responded to reports of a shooting at the Shell gas station at W. Third Street and Gettysburg Avenue before 6:45 p.m.

Officials said they found two people shot at the scene and a third person died in hospital.

The first triple shooting occurred around 10 a.m. Saturday at Chamber and Whitmore Avenue. When officers arrived, they found three people shot. Paramedics took them to the hospital.

One man is worried that the violence will not stop.

“I just feel like the guns aren't going anywhere,” he told News Center 7's Malik Patterson. “We don't make them, but they're there.”
