Water leaks at Hyderabad airport during heavy rain

Rainwater seeped through the roof of Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (RGIA) in Hyderabad, a passenger captured in a video on Monday (August 19, 2024).

The footage shows water dripping from the ceiling in the terminal. A temporary cordon has been set up to control the affected area. The video also shows airport staff dealing with the situation.

Airport authorities confirmed the issue and said, “Due to heavy rainfall, water leakage occurred in the terminal building. The technical team on site has been alerted and the issue is being resolved. The team is monitoring the weather conditions and is well equipped to handle the challenges posed by the torrential rain. We apologize for any inconvenience caused.”
