Conor McGregor finally reveals the truth behind the controversial beer incident with Anthony Joshua

Conor McGregor has cleared up the controversial beer drinking incident with Anthony Joshua a year ago. In his comeback to the boxing ring, the two-time heavyweight world champion faced Robert Helenius. UFC icon Conor McGregor attended the event as a sponsor and attracted attention with his usual antics. As he entered the ring, “The Notorious” announced that he wanted to fight YouTuber KSI in a bare-knuckle match.

However, the biggest cheer came when the Irishman met Anthony Joshua after the fight. In a surprising turn of events, McGregor seemingly forced the boxing champion to drink his Forged Irish Stout. In fact, Forged Irish Stout was the sponsor of the event and such an incident confused the entire boxing community. Now, after a year, Conor McGregor has issued a statement justifying his allegedly controversial action.

According to McGregor, it was Anthony Joshua who came up to him and asked for a pint of his Forged Irish Stout. On Instagram, the former UFC double champion recently wrote: “One year ago today… a busy year! And just to be clear, I didn't force Joshua to do anything. He left the ring after his incredible win, came straight up to me and said, 'Where's my Forged?' I gave him mine.”

McGregor also spoke at length about how incredibly delicious his beer was. He also said it was the first time a boxer had ever had a pint of beer in the ring. According to McGregor's recollection, Joshua ordered “barrel loads” of Forged Irish Stout at his local bar after initially liking the taste in the ring. While McGregor continues to build his empire outside of the UFC, his return to the Dana White-led promotion is shrouded in darkness.

'The Notorious' was supposed to fight one-on-one against Michael Chandler in the main event of UFC 303. Unfortunately, things didn't go according to plan. Just a few days before the fight, McGregor pulled out of the fight due to a toe injury. As fans are concerned about the well-being of 'Mystic Mac', McGregor stated that he would return in action later this year. Although Dana White has not confirmed this claim, he has not refuted it either. With tensions rising, Conor McGregor's return remains uncertain.
