Mysterious black ring appeared in the blue sky over Virginia

In a video that went viral in no time, a mysterious black ring appeared in the blue sky over Virginia this week, hovering for about 10 minutes before disappearing.

Williamsburg residents flocked to news stations around 11 a.m. ET on Tuesday when they spotted the ominous circle above a major thoroughfare. Ron Stepp said he was working near Eastern State Hospital when it appeared like a giant smoke ring in the sky.

Others reported the sighting from nearby residential areas and said it was visible for miles. Similar black rings have been seen in other locations, with fires and explosions cited as the likely cause. However, authorities reported that there were no fires at the time of the sighting.

Peggy Olszyk captured the black ring as it hung above the treetops while Renee Fisher snapped a few photos of it from outside a residential area.

In addition, there have been numerous other sightings around the world – it seems that these mysterious objects can appear virtually anywhere.

However, so far no one has officially confirmed what these objects are or where they came from. However, there are some theories.

Experts believe that the rings are most likely caused by fire or some kind of explosion, such as fireworks.

The news channel also asked Dominion Energy, an American energy company based in Richmond, Virginia, whether a blown transformer could have been the cause of the ringing.

Dominion spokesman Tim Eberly told WAVY that there were no incidents this week involving equipment that could have caused a black smoke ring.

He also suspected that it might be a special effect for a movie.
