Xiaomi's first foldable clamshell device, the Mix Flip, global price leaked

Xiaomi is no newcomer to foldable phones, but it is just entering the space of compact clamshell devices. The company's first-ever folding smartphone made its debut in China last month alongside the Xiaomi Mix Fold 4. We expected a global release for the Mix Flip, and now its price tag and retail packaging have surfaced.

Leak hints at price tag for Xiaomi Mix Flip in various markets

Although the global model has not been officially announced yet, some retailers seem to already have the Xiaomi Mix Flip in stock. Images of the retail box as well as pricing details were shared on X earlier today. The smartphone is rumored to hit shelves in Europe with a price tag of €1,299, which is equivalent to about $1,434. In other regions, the price is expected to be PHP64,999 in the Philippines and MYR4,300 in Malaysia, which is equivalent to about $1,147 and $983 respectively.

The images show a model with 12GB of RAM and 512GB of storage, which could be the only version available worldwide. Also, the version shown so far is only available in black, and that could be the only color option worldwide. However, in China you can also choose between purple, white and black.

Apart from that, the leak does not contain any information about the official release date or the countries where the phone will be available, so we will have to wait for Xiaomi to reveal the official details.

The Xiaomi Mix Flip features large, bright AMOLED screens inside and out. They offer a super smooth experience with a 120Hz refresh rate and support a peak brightness of up to 3000 nits.

The phone has a 50MP main camera with a Light Fusion 800 sensor and a 50MP telephoto lens, both made with Leica's expertise. The Xiaomi Mix Flip also excels in connectivity, offering support for the latest Wi-Fi 7 and 5G.

If the leaked pricing details are correct, I think the Mix Flip could be a serious competitor to the Galaxy Z Flip 6 globally. While it isn't much cheaper, it offers more storage, a bigger battery, brighter screens, and more.
