Gunshot victim shows up at Bellingham hospital and reports incident of aggression while driving

BELLINGHAM, Washington – The Bellingham Police Department (BPD) reports that it has arrested one person and continues to investigate a road rage incident in which one person sustained a gunshot wound.

According to a statement from the BPD, an incident of DUI occurred around 9 a.m. on Sunday, August 18, in the eastbound lanes at the intersection of Iowa and Moore Streets.

According to emergency services radio reports, a person with a gunshot wound was admitted to the emergency room of PeaceHealth St. Joseph Medical Center at around 9:10 a.m.

BPD later arrested 23-year-old Kipp Bradlee Snell and booked him into the Whatcom County Jail at approximately 5:25 p.m. He was charged with first-degree assault and reckless endangerment.

It was reported that several motorists were present at the time and may have witnessed the incident. The vehicles involved are a green Ford Explorer and a silver Honda sedan.
