Ole Miss Rebels DT Zxavian Harris arrested Sunday night

Ole Miss Rebels defensive tackle Zxavian Harris was arrested Sunday night on charges of domestic violence and resisting arrest, according to Lafayette County Sheriff's records obtained The Clarion Ledger.

According to the original report, Harris was arrested at 6:42 p.m. CT.

This is the second time Harris has been charged during his career at Ole Miss. Last July, he was charged with driving under the influence, fleeing from a crime, reckless driving, possession of alcohol while underage, failure to use headlights and failure to obey a stop sign. Last season, he totaled 30 tackles and blocked three kicks, including a Texas A&M field goal attempt as time expired, helping secure a Rebels victory in November.

Harris is expected to be a key rotation player on Ole Miss' defensive line for at least this season. The Rebels signed star defensive lineman Walter Nolen through the transfer portal and also brought back key players in Jared Ivey and JJ Pegues, but Harris would still play a key role in that rotation.

The Rebels open their season on August 31 at home against the FCS Furman Paladins.
