Summerlin man accused of killing his neighbor pleads not guilty | Homicide cases

A man who police say shot and killed his neighbor in Summerlin in May has pleaded not guilty.

Eddi Moreno is accused of shooting his neighbor, 47-year-old Joe Moreno – the two are not related – after Joe Moreno allegedly exposed his genitals in front of Eddi Moreno's children.

According to court documents, Joe Moreno was pronounced dead from multiple gunshot wounds.

The shooting was reported at 7:07 p.m. in the 2200 block of Starline Meadow Place near Hillpointe Road and West Lake Mead Boulevard. Officers found five shell casings at the scene.

According to court documents, video footage from Eddi Moreno's home shows him shooting Joe Moreno.

A grand jury indicted Eddi Moreno on August 1 for murder with the use of a deadly weapon.

Eddi Moreno must appear in court on Tuesday.
