Real-Time Crime Center helped identify shooting suspects | News

SHREVEPORT, Louisiana – Two men are in custody for a July shooting, and Shreveport police are thanking the city's crime cameras for helping them identify the suspects.

The shooting occurred on July 29 at the Stone Vista Apartments. Three occupied apartments and a vehicle were struck by gunfire. No injuries were reported.

The SPD arrested Aaron Small and Demarcus Eiland on Sunday and charged both with serious damage to property.

“This case is a prime example of the effective use of the Real-Time Crime Center, which played an integral role in the investigation. The tireless efforts of Shreveport Patrol Officers also contributed to the successful apprehension of the suspects,” Cpl. Chris Bordelon said in a press release Monday.

The investigation is ongoing and more arrests are expected in the coming days, Bordelon said.
