Gas leak shuts down West Hollywood Sunset Boulevard at the intersection of La Cienega Boulevard

An alert from West Hollywood Sheriff's Stations warns commuters to avoid Sunset Boulevard at the intersection of La Cienega Boulevard due to a gas leak that has brought traffic to a standstill in that area. We're receiving reports from residents of traffic congestion and helicopters causing a stir in the skies, but according to LASD, there is no real danger from the gas leak.

The LASD recommendation is as follows:

“LASD/West Hollywood Station advises a road closure, the intersection of Sunset Boulevard and La Cienega Boulevard in West Hollywood is closed due to a gas leak. Please avoid the area. Southern California Gas Company and Los Angeles County Fire Department are on site and working to resolve the issue.
