The reigning Power 25 national champions are back looking to win their second straight title, but now they must try to defend their title with new head coach Raul Lara at the helm.

As always, the Monarchs have plenty of talent on both sides of the ball.

Chuck McDonald, who has committed to Alabama, and Daryus Dixson, who is transferring to Penn State, form the backbone of the defense, while running back and Oregon junior Jordon Davison and junior wide receiver Chris Henry Jr. form a pair of offensive weapons that will be difficult for any team to stop.

Led by 5-star quarterback Husan Longstreet, the Huskies are entering the new season with a lot of anticipation after narrowly missing out on a chance to compete for the CIF Southern Section Division 1 championship last season.

Longstreet is the 28th-ranked recruit for 2025, according to 247sports, and will look to top his stellar junior season in which he rushed for more than 3,000 yards and 24 touchdowns while throwing just six interceptions.

With several players returning from Division I on the offensive line and Longstreet having a number of outstanding wide receivers to choose from, there's a good chance Centennial will be playing for the CIF Southern Section Division 1 title in November.
