One dead and one seriously injured after ‘incident’ at North Andover home, prosecutor says

NORTH ANDOVER, Massachusetts – One person is dead and another is seriously injured after an incident at a North Andover home Monday, the Essex County District Attorney's Office said.

Emergency workers rushed to a house on Turnpike Street and found the two victims. One of the victims was pronounced dead and the other suffered serious injuries, the Essex District Attorney's Office said.

The injured person was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment of serious injuries.

North Andover Police, Massachusetts State Police and the Essex County District Attorney's Office are investigating the very active crime scene.

Shortly after 6:30 p.m., several patrol cars and emergency vehicles were seen surrounding the one-story house. The house and front yard were cordoned off with yellow tape.

Residents are asked to stay away from the scene of the accident while authorities investigate.
